If Jakarta has Monas, Surabaya as the second city in Indonesia has Suramadu, besides Hero Monument (Tugu Pahlawan). Suramadu (Surabaya-Madura) bridge is the link between Java and Madura island which was established in 2002 at the time of President Megawati and opened on June 10, 2009, in President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono era.
